Registered Pharmacist — Clinical

Pharmacist Responsibilities

With the guidance of your Pharmacy Manager and in co-operation with fellow team members, you will

  • Provide knowledgeable, courteous, and professional service at all times. You are encouraged to establish a rapport with customers and colleagues to learn their needs and expectations, and provide peace-of-mind service with a personal touch.
  • Process and release medication orders (vial, blister, strip-pouch, compounding, both traditional and alternative therapies).
  • Prepare for and participate in community and colleague outreach programs as well as continuing ed, patient counselling, and patient follow-up.
  • Create and maintain good working relationship with all suppliers and colleagues.
  • Ensure that all records are current and accurate. (eg: Rx software, narcotic records, Rx paper files, patient care plans)
  • Prepare reports for Pharmacy Manager and clients.
  • Manage various inventories.
  • On daily rotation basis, act as team leader (eg oversee open/close routines and other aspects of day-to-day operations; ensure that team members perform duties in compliance with pharmacy law and company P&P; etc.).
  • Report feedback from colleagues, team members, and customers to Pharmacy Manager.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with current laws, regulations, standards, policies and procedures, and in a way that contributes to the longterm stability and viability of the company and the community in which it operates.

The successful applicant will have

  • Graduated in good standing from a recognized university-level pharmacy program.
  • A current, valid license to practice pharmacy in British Columbia.
  • Enthusiasm for community pharmacy with an “integrated” approach.
  • A demonstrated commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Professional presentation and demeanor, and excellent telephone manner. Confidentiality is a must.
  • Self-motivated organizational skills and proven ability to work well with deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail, including dates, figures, names, and spelling.
  • Strong computer skills: Windows XP, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, pharmacy dispensing software, and POS.
  • Valid BC Driver's License with clean record.

The successful applicant will have

  • Grade 12, graduation from a recognized pharmacy technician course plus two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • A demonstrated commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Strong computer skills: Windows XP, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and pharmacy software.
  • Professional presentation and demeanor, and excellent telephone manner. Confidentiality is a must.

Pharmacy Delivery Driver

Pharmacy Delivery Driver Responsibilities

The delivery driver is an important link between our professional pharmacists and the patients and their caregivers. With the guidance of your Pharmacy Manager and along with fellow team members, you will

  • Organize effective daily delivery / pick-up routes.
  • Safely and courteously drive the delivery vehicle while adhering to route schedule.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicle (heavy lifting and carrying required).
  • Ensure that all records are current and accurate (mileage, fuel, destinations, receipt signatures).
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of delivery vehicle, re-fuel, monitor vehicle condition, schedule service appointments.
  • Provide knowledgeable, courteous, and professional service at all times. You are encouraged to establish a rapport with customers and colleagues to learn of their needs and expectations, and provide peace-of-mind service with a personal touch.
  • Maintain good working relationship with all suppliers and colleagues.
  • Report feedback from colleagues and customers to Pharmacy Manager.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with current laws, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.

The successful applicant will have

  • Grade 12 plus a valid BC Driver's License with clean record.
  • Good knowledge of Sunshine Coast roads & locations between Port Mellon and Pender Harbour.
  • A demonstrated commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Computer proficiency is preferred (Windows XP, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, POS and pharmacy software).
  • Professional presentation and demeanor, and excellent telephone manner. Confidentiality is a must.
